BRYAN, Texas – Today, LaFollette Custom Homes, a custom homebuilder based in Bryan, Texas, launched their new virtual reality offering. Harnessing advanced CAD and VR software, LaFollette Custom Homes will partner with clients to create realistic virtual walk-throughs of proposed custom homes. With this new offering, LaFollette is leading the local industry as one of the only custom homebuilders providing virtual reality tours of home mockups in state of Texas.

“After two years of testing, LaFollette homes is proud to officially launch our virtual reality offering,” said Jason LaFollette, Owner and Founder of LaFollette Custom Homes. “Our in-house drafting team can create custom, immersive tours of clients’ proposed floor plans, allowing homeowners to fully experience their dream homes before our construction team ever breaks ground. This immersive experience empowers both us and our clients to be as informed as possible throughout the home building process, saving countless hours and dollars in the long run.”

LaFollette Custom Homes is a residential construction company based in the Brazos Valley. Since 2000, they have helped hundreds of clients build their dream homes. Founder Jason LaFollette and his team have over 65 years of combined experience in custom home building.

On Saturday, October 15, LaFollette will rollout this new offering at the Bryan-College Station Parade of Homes. They will have a VR headset onsite at their model home for participants to experience their new, innovative offering in person.

To create custom virtual reality tours, LaFollette’s in-house draftsman and construction team work together to create a 2D floorplan and a 3D model of the exterior elevations. Then, they collaborate to refine the floorplan, selections, finishes and furnishings. Finally, using advanced CAD and VR software, they bring the 2D vision to life by creating the virtual reality file for homeowners to walk-through with a VR headset. Clients can then put on virtual reality headsets to walk through the interior and exterior of their homes to truly experience the space as designed and provide feedback on the home as designed.

LaFollette has tested its virtual reality experience with all clients over the past two years to positive results. In practice, homeowners can realistically experience the flow and function of these virtual spaces and provide feedback in real time. Virtual reality provides homeowners an immersive experience within their custom dream home, ensuring that future reality matches with their current vision.
