Kitchens . . . The Heart of the Home

Published June 30, 2020

It never fails at the family gatherings that my family ends up hanging out in the kitchen -talking, laughing, snacking, and cousins running around the island chasing each other. It’s honestly the favorite part of my new home . . . family hanging out in the kitchen. When we designed our kitchen, I wanted a massive island because I had a vision for our future. My desire was to have an island big enough where future grandkids could sit and bake and paint and play with playdough, but most importantly, make memories.

When you sit down with LaFollette Custom Homes, share your dreams and visions so they can help you create the kitchen of your dreams, not only in style and design, but in functionality as well.

Non-pantry storage is important in a kitchen too.  Is there plenty of room for appliances you don’t want sitting out on the counter?  Do you want cabinets in your lowers or do you want drawers that pull out?  Are you the kind of personality that has all the utensils tossed into a drawer or do you want cubbies within a drawer to organize spoons, spatulas, and pancake turners?  When I went and sat with the vendor to discuss our kitchen design, the storage options available were beyond anything I would have ever imagined.  If you dream it, they can design it!
